You are probably here because you watched my videos on wine making, mead making and distilling. I will break down the equipment you will need in each section.
Make Your Favorite Wine For $3-$6 a Bottle Using A Home Kit
Low Budget Kit for Making 3-6 bottles (Under $50)
If you don’t have the basic supplies you are in luck because you can buy discounted starter brewing kits that have just about everything you need. The basic brewing equipment works fine for wine or mead, but you will need different additives for mead. If you are only interested in making small amounts of fruit wine for yourself then keep it ultra low budget with this.
Kit if You Want to Make 25-30 Bottles ($100-$180)
These Kits will have most everything featured in the video. You have two choices depending on what extra equipment you need. If you want to be complete I recommend this kit. It even includes the whipping cane.
If you want to go a little lower budget you can get this kit with less bells and whistles. Midwest HomeBrewing company is a great company and I never see negative reviews about their equipment online. This kit also comes with a nice instructional video too.
Additional Equipment Not in the Kits
Wine Making Kits
There are so many to choose from. Wineries sell their left over juice with all the additives needed on one convenient kit. My advice is start at the link below and look around. Wine Expert and Eclipse have excellent kits.
For Mead Making
Since mead has lots of honey instead of wine, you will need some extra additives to make the fermentation process work well. Here are all the additives we used in the video.
